GAT-B (Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the DBT (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India, for admission to M.Sc., M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs in Biotechnology at participating universities and institutes across India.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related disciplines.
- Final-year students can also apply.
Exam Pattern:
- Computer-based test with multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Focuses on core biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, and analytical skills.
